Important information for your 9th grade year:

1) GPA (Grade Point Average)  Watch your grades!  Ask for help when needed and attended tutoring.  The first consideration for most colleges is GPA and you are working on your GPA this year:

2)  You need 1 online class to graduate high school.

3)  Make sure that you are completing community service hours. You do not need them for graduation, but they are a great way to give back to our community.  Also some scholarships, like bright futures, require community service hours.

4)  Start Planning for your future (you do not have to decide on a career at age 14/15, but start looking to see what is out there for you)

5) Create an account on raise.me  Raise Me is a website where you can earn Micro Scholarships for things that you are already doing in High School--like staying for tutoring, helping a new student, taking the PSAT, and more.
